1. Minimum time off policies. Make sure people aren’t peer pressured into working more than they should.
2. “No questions asked” time off policies. As long as it’s requested X days in advance, no one’s business why.
3. Flexible work schedules. Commit to being a results-based organization. Who cares what the exact hours are?
4. The Christmas/New Years period. I mean come on, nothing really gets done then anyway.
5. Some benefits platforms (e.g. Evive) ping you to reminder you to use your benefits. Like time off.
6. 4 day work week over the summer. Clearcover just did this.
7. Sick days. I think we can all agree to cancel the “suck it up” attitude towards illness. I never want to see a sick person in an office ever again.
8. Mental health days. Kill the stigma here. Burnout is real.
9. STOP CALLING IT UNLIMITED PTO. It’s not the policy that’s bad, it’s the branding.

Under 3 weeks - 44.9%
3-5 weeks - 43.6%
Over 5 weeks - 11.5%
