All-onsite is a hiring killer.
Not convinced? Do yourself a favor and survey your employees. Ask some questions about what their onsite vs remote preferences are.
You’ll find out it’s a retention killer, too.
Our team is on the front lines. We see it every day. No remote option is the #1 reason why companies are having a hard time filling roles right now. We’re straight up passing on searches because of it.
Nate and I have been surveying different skill sets for The Employer Content Show. It’s the #2 thing that candidates want to know before they even get into the interview process. (#1 is money, shocker!)
People will disagree on what the optimal productivity set up is. But it's a moot point.
Companies are built on talent. Remote enabled companies will get better people. Full stop.
My advice from a hiring standpoint:
If you’re not making everyone go back, scream it from the rooftops. There are absolutely people being forced to go back who are looking to bail. Right now.
Find out which companies are forcing all onsite. Poach their employees.
There I said it. You’re welcome.
