I got back from vacation yesterday. You wouldn’t really know it. I’m one of those people who thinks putting vacation pics on social media is insane.
It's basically lead gen for burglars. I'm the crazy one, I know.
Still...I feel great. You care.
It got me thinking about why so many people are leaving their jobs. <insert obligatory “Great Resignation” reference>
Jeff Smith and I are doing a 10 Minute Talent Rant this morning on crappy onboarding. Huge issue in the all remote world, in my humble opinion.
But maybe people are just burned the F out?
When the pandemic started, there was a lot of talk about giving people mental health days. Encouraging time off. At home stay-cations. Those were the days...
But how’s that looking now?
One of the hills I’ll die on is that Unlimited PTO is a Scam. UNLESS companies mandate people to take it. Or strongly encourage. (Full rant here.)
So what I want to know: does that actually happen? Is your company mandating or encouraging time off?
