Introducing DIY Content Creators, a Slack Community
Create your best content and stop fixating on your personal brand. That’s how you build real credibility instead of dwelling on meaningless vanity metrics.
I feel so strongly about this I created a Slack community dedicated to it: DIY Content Creators. Open to all. Sign up here.
Most people (and companies) struggle at content creation. I’ve had clients of ours ask for advice on their content initiatives. Mind you: I’m a recruiter, not a marketer. I don’t sell content services. And these are places with big budgets who know a hell of a lot more about marketing than I do. I just do it because I love it.
The underlying issue is that content is NOT at its core a marketing function. It’s part of that realm, but a different skill set. The same way that design competencies fall into marketing, but are distinctly different.
Thus “DIY Content Creators.” Because most people who are great at this figured it out for themselves.
We would all use a little help. So let’s do it together. It’s free. There’s no other agenda. Sales pitches are against the rules. So are engagement pods.
