For years I’ve said recruiters ghosting candidates is not some nefarious, cruel scheme. It’s just a matter of high workload and lack of organization.
Recruiters (I’ll double down and say all people) tend to be...disorganized. Not everyone. But, you know what I mean.
People lose track of sh*t.
And when the workload expands, balls get dropped. And while it’s impossible to ghost anyone if you simply keep an electronic task list and follow up (c’mon gang!), the ghosting equation is simple:
High workload + poor organization = 👻
