2020-2021. The year that HR finally got their seat at the table. Their time to say “this is how our company should work.”
It used to be a huge talking point on LinkedIn, years ago. Then it came to a hilt. Twice.
Both DEI and return-to-work became the issues that every company had an opportunity to tackle.
You have a moment in time to define what the future of work is going to look like. And that’s a BIG DEAL.
How’s it going?
Kinda mixed. Some orgs are pushing ambitious DEI initiatives, some are...well they got the marketing piece down anyway. 🤷
And return to work? Same situation. I hate to break it to you but the “let’s wait to see what Apple or Google does” approach is a total punt.
Every company is different. Size, industry, dynamic. Looking at what thought leaders in your space do is one thing.
But playing follow the leader? You’re taking a back seat. At the most critical time.
I’m not throwing shade here. I’m not an HR expert.
But Erin Turnmeyer is. (An expert. Not throwing shade. Or maybe she is lol).
Take it from her: the window to elevate your HR practice is gonna close.
