I’m down with the “don’t sell on LinkedIn” content philosophy. Provide free value and good things will happen.
But I think we’ve gone too far.
I realized something the other day: I have no idea what most of you do. Content creators I mean. I see your posts. I’m clear on your message.
But...what do you actually do? What’s different about your company or service?
We’ve become anti-sales to a fault.
Hirewell does a few things. Managed recruiting is our flagship service. It’s a totally different recruiting delivery model that we came up with. But what the hell is it exactly?
So I made an easy to digest explainer video with Jeff Smith. I ran it by my friends in my DIY Content Creators Slack community to get their feedback. (Free group, join here).
The feedback was interesting:
“I ended up actually learning about what do which was really interesting. I also watched the whole thing which is uncommon.”
“I learned a lot. AND watched the whole thing.”
I won’t summarize the video. Just have a watch. It’s 2 minutes. You’ll dig it. And know what the hell I actually do besides write newsletters.
