Having a good remote work policy isnât enough to attract great candidates. You have to advertise it.
Iâm not gonna argue remote flex vs all onsite. I already won that one. Companies with flex have a larger talent pool to choose from than those who are forcing onsite. Full stop.
But something to keep in mind for hiring software engineers: they have the most opportunities. In fact they have so many opportunities they canât possible pursue them all.
#1 filter they use right now? Remote options. Those are at the top of their list.
I bring this up because I see job descriptions and career sites all the time that donât call this out. Then when talking to the company, I find out they have a very pro-remote policy.
Theyâre just not letting everyone know.
Want a quick bump in your candidate pool?
Put your remote policy in your JDs, your career site, your recruiter emails, your social posts, etc.
