Don’t you hate sifting through hundreds of resumes that don’t fit the position you’re hiring for?
Whelp. It's your own damn fault.
Repelling is as important as selling. It isn’t done enough in recruitment. If you’re falling into this trap, it’s time to reevaluate your messaging.
We’re programmed to stress the positives and sugar coat the negatives. But we shouldn’t.
It’s not about good or bad. It’s about presenting the reality of it.
Look at the stack of resumes. The ones that aren’t close? They represent real people your messaging missed the mark with. And they’re as frustrated as you are. Probably more so.
What could you have told them ahead of time to make them say “This job isn’t for me. Pass.”?
