Meaningful content helps you hire. Full stop.
If that’s something you’re interested in, read further. If not, go about your day...
Let’s define meaningful. It’s simple: answer real questions that people have. In this case, we’re talking about job seekers. What do they want to know?
Stuff they ask during the interview process. Stuff they weigh when they make decisions. Put all that at the top of the funnel. With content.
How do you know what these things are? Also simple: Ask. Talk to people. Do surveys.
But most of all, stop making assumptions.
Most career sites are useless. Same for a lot of recruiter emails, jobs ads, and corporate social feeds. They don't actually say anything anyone cares about.
So, Nate and I are doing the legwork for you. In our mini-series “What Candidates Want to Know” we survey specific skill groups and share the findings.
The special on sales people is available here:
The 7 question survey for marketers (the next show) is here. If you’re in marketing, please take a few minutes to fill that out. It will help us put it all together.
Link to the live show where we’re cover the findings is here. (Wednesday, 6/9/2021 at 2pm CT via LinkedIn Live)
