One last onboarding rant...

...for now.

You can have a great product. Great company. Great revenue. Great interview process. Great culture. And a great team.

But still lose people. Why?

Because none of those things are “real” to your new hires. Until they’re fully integrated and up to speed.

👉Loyalty is real, but it’s not immediate.

If the first weeks of their experience are chaotic and disconnected?

They'll think everything you sold them on was bullsh*t.

Which is why you need solid onboarding. You gotta bridge that gap.

Remember:

👉When you’re full remote, your team is on an island.

No one is walking by their desk to see how they’re doing.

No one is reading their body language to see if they’re not digging it.

Water cooler talk doesn’t exist. Especially when they’re new and they don’t know anyone yet.

👉Those InMails keep on flowing.

They’ll have a nice backlog to respond to after that 2 week notice period. If they so choose.

You’ve had 2 years to focus on this. Don’t go 2 more.
