“LinkedIn sucks.”
“Job board results are a waste.”
“Our pipeline is falling off.”
“We’re getting a lot of turndowns.”
I’m the first to say recruitment tech hasn’t kept pace. The new new is coming (in fact, Hirewell is building it - announcement here).
There will be tech that saves you time. Gives you more relevant results. Ties all your systems together.
But recruiting tech will never fix:
Crappy writing
Poor follow up
Not building long term relationships
Bad interview process
For that, you have to make yourself better.
In any field, those who choose to master their craft will always have the advantage. Because when the next big thing comes out, everyone will use it.
So before question the low response of your copy & paste job description spam or wonder why that candidate you haven’t talked to in 2 weeks hasn’t gotten back to you…
…realize that’s all you.
