What do Clubhouse and contingent search have in common?
It's a rhetorical question. You should be able to answer that by now.
Post is here if you want to jump on the pile. Now that the weather is nice and people are vaccinated, not exactly sure who is going to spend their free time on conference calls…
Anyway, back to the initial question. What do Clubhouse and contingent search have in common?
Well, as the title of the next 10 Minute Talent Rant indicates: "Contingent Search is Stupid.” (Post here).
Every day I come to LinkedIn and see hot takes on candidate experiences. Improving the recruiting process. Making things “more human.”
But if I have a problem with LinkedIn, it’s that a lot of the content is people yelling at cloud. Not addressing the underlying issues.
You’ve got a billion dollar industry tied in the most inefficient model in existence. Something that no other service sector would even consider.
Maybe we’ll pay you, maybe we won’t.
Hmm. I wonder why the industry has a reputation for being inconsistent?

Last week’s live show was a ton of fun. Mitch Sullivan joined Nate Guggia and I in The Employer Content Show [Ep 17] - Job Descriptions Are Not Job Ads.
If you’re not familiar with this concept, you seriously need to watch to get Mitch’s take. But if that’s not enough to motivate you, other topics discussed were “how troll-like behavior drives revenue” and “how no one cares what you think.”
