I’ve had several conversations lately about vaccine requirements for return to work. They all kind of went like this:
“Are you guys requiring vaccines to return to the office?”
“No idea yet. You?”
“Not sure either. No one’s mentioned anything.”
“Is it even legal to ask?”
“I think?” 🤷
I remember when the pandemic started. Lots of people (employers and employees) said they’d wait until there was a vaccine before requiring people to come back. Lots of companies said they’d require people to be vaxxed.
But...is that actually happening?
In terms of the law aspect: yes, it’s legal for employers to require it. But there are still some state to state issues on proof, which The New York Times covered here.
And in case you missed it, a judge threw out a lawsuit from employees challenging Houston Methodist Hospital’s requirement here.
I’m curious how this is playing out in the real world. Poll👇
