Why can't recruitment tech give us our time back?
That's the real problem behind the squeeze on recruiter resources

There aren’t enough recruiters to go around right now. And you can blame crappy recruitment technology for that.
Everyone is stuck in the old way of thinking: if you need another recruiter, hire one.
Let’s be honest: recruiting is a highly repetitive function. The parts that involve human interaction? Can’t be replaced. They need to be maximized.
But recruiters easily spend half their day doing things that *don’t* involved human interaction: sourcing on LinkedIn Recruiter.
Repetitive. Mundane. Total time suck.
Aren’t these the exact things that AI and machine learning are supposed to solve?
Yet the recruitment tech industry continues to pump out the next LinkedIn Recruiter Clone that does none of it. Or some needless messaging tools.
The math is simple: give recruiters twice as much time, get twice the results. Then you don’t need as many.
How did we get here? My theory has always been that the people making it don’t understand the actual problems. Most of them have never sat in the seat.
So they create cutting edge tech...that doesn’t actually solve real issues.
But, change is coming. More on this soon… 🥁
