You can’t fake passion.
My #1 reason why content initiatives fall flat: people feel obligated to do it. They’re not actually passionate about it.
Leaders get the business case. They know it’s something they should do. But they go through the motions.
If it feels like work, you’re gonna half-ass it.
The bigger question: how can you not feel passionate about what your company does? Or what you’re building? Or the work environment you’ve created?
Not everyone loves the content process. I get it. But if you’re the leader at your company and you’re not excited to get your message out, that’s a huge red flag.
Either you’re not doing anything special. Or you’re in the wrong line of work.
Speaking of being passionate about talking: Nate Guggia and I are switching things up. The next Employer Content Show will be via Zoom (not LinkedIn Live).
We’ll dedicate time to Q&A. Anything hiring, employer brand, & content is fair game.
